Review on LELE 78087B ~ Magneto vs. Sentinel

I got this when my whole family went to visit my aunt and her new born son at the hospital.
PRAISE BE TO GOD that it is a healthy boy!

Yah… I got a Lego set, (a very hard to find one), from a hospital. This is actually a part of a set LELE made: LELE 78087A ~ Groot vs. Nebula and LELE 78087B ~ Magneto vs. Sentinel. I’ve only seen the Groot set once a few years ago. It’s actually pretty cool that LELE made this set where they separate the big-build and a minifigure from the original bigger set – LEGO® 76020 Marvel Super Heroes ~ Guardians of the Galaxy [Knowhere Escape Mission] and LEGO® 76022 Marvel Super Heroes ~ X-Men [X-Men vs. The Sentinel]

The review:

• Box (front). LELE rightly labeled the box “X-Men”. ^.^

• Box (right). The box art's pretty cool. On this side, you have a Lego Magneto, a Wolverine pic, and a Magneto staring at a Sentinel pic. Cool!!!

• Box (back). On this side, they printed an X-Men: Days of Future Past movie poster. The poster is actually accurate with the product of this set – Sentinels!!!

• Box (left). On this side, you have a Magneto pic from the original comic (if not mistaken, the original art for this is Jim Lee) which the Lego pic copied.

• Box (top). When they made this, it was before they started printing “Heroes Gathering” like all their current products. Instead, it was still “Super Heroes”. Other brands also came up with their own label – Sheng Yuan came up with “Heroes Assemble” whereas Decool still maintained their “Super Heroes” which is in a different font from all (Lego, Sheng Yuan, and LELE has the same font) other brands.

• Box (bottom).

• The contents. Three bags and one building instruction booklet.

• Building instruction booklet (front).

• Building instruction booklet (back).

• Building instruction booklet (first page). This is from the original Lego Batman comic book.

• Building instruction booklet (last page). LELE’s future products, most of which are already out. According to this page, there is one set – NO.79030 – which I can’t seem to find anywhere online. It looks like a combination of some of the minifigs they’ve made previously, including the accessories. Is this legit?

• The pieces.

• The minifig’s arms. If you look closer, the left arm seems to have a bigger space at the joints than the right.

• The ‘whatever-name-this-piece-is’. This part really breaks my heart. They gave one faulty, broken piece!!! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!! Just look at it. *Sigh*… However, you have to remember this is still under LELE’s earlier works. Its quality ain’t as good as the current sets. *Sigh*…

• The extra pieces. I don’t know what the two Lego Technic pieces are for. They aren’t used at all in this build. Oh well…

• Magneto with the base.

• The base.

• Magneto (front).

• Magneto (right).

• Magneto (back).

• Magneto (left).

Comparison of LELE’s version (left) and Decool’s (right).

LELE’s version comes with the hair piece; Decool’s version is with the helmet.

LELE’s version without the hair piece; Decool’s version without the helmet. LELE’s face seems a bit thicker; Decool’s face seems more natural.

LELE’s doesn’t have the second face printing like Decool and the original Lego.

LELE’s doesn’t have the back printing like Decool and the original Lego.

• The rough part of the cape (1st pic); the smooth part of the cape (2nd pic). LELE’s cape is quality SOOOO GOOD!!! The material of the cloth is strong, smooth, and shiny!

LELE’s version with Decool’s helmet.

• The Sentinel (front).

• Closer look on the face printing. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!! The printing on the right side of the face is blurry and smudged! *Sigh*… I’ll just take it as “battle-damaged”. Eventually, I hope to get the original big set. So, for now, I fine with it.

• The Sentinel (right).

• The Sentinel (back).

• The Sentinel (left).

• The Sentinel (top).

• The Sentinel (bottom).

• Some poses of Magneto and the Sentinel.

• Size comparisons with other Lego figures. The Giant-Man figure is actually bigger than the Sentinel (again, GIANT-Man – it’s supposed to be GIANT :p). Cool right?

• Some poses of Wolverine (Sheng Yuan’s version) and the Sentinel. Over all, I’m quite satisfied with the quality of this set. The ball joints are very smooth and strong. It doesn’t wear out like Sheng Yuan’s. I’ll be looking forward for LELE 78087A ~ Groot vs. Nebula

Ok. Done with yet another post-SPM review.

Stay tune.

God Bless.
