Customize Batmobile, based on the original LEGO® Batmobile

Hello again. Today I’ll be sharing my customize Batmobile which I built in the middle of my SPM period (I think it’s between Physics and Chemistry paper) :p.

The pieces I used are from Decool 7105 Tumbler, and is based on the original LEGO® Batmobile from LEGO® 76045 DC Comics Super Heroes Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice [Kryptonite Interception]. There are a few pieces I do not (yet) have, so I modified the Batmobile a little bit.

I won’t talk much in this post. You judge for yourselves whether or not this is a successful build.

The following are comparisons of both versions of the original LEGO® Batmobile from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and from Justice League with mine. To be fair, my customize Batmobile got the ‘look’ of Bat-Affleck’s Batmobile in the movies right? Hahaha…

Also, I’ve watch Justice League (twice) and I absolutely enjoyed it. I don’t understand why most people (who are actually influenced by Rotten Tomatoes and other movie reviewers online BEFORE they even watch the actual movie) hated it.

I mean seriously, what more do you want???

You have Bat-Affleck, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman (dude, I mean GAL GADOT' WONDER WOMAN!!!), Amazonian babes, Aquaman’s fabulous hair-do (in and out of water!), Parademons, the line by Steppenwolf cheering “For DARKSEID”, and the (SPOILER ALERT!) Superman / Flash race at the second end-credits scene, as well as Danny Elfman’s score throughout the movie, which ISN’T the ‘one loud bass note theme’ throughout Man of Steel, or the ‘awkward piano-slam’ (Lex Luthor’s theme) from BvS. by Hanz Zimmer (*sigh, what a relieve…*), but instead themes from his (Elfman’s) original score of Batman and John Williams’ score of Superman.

Ok. I’ll end my post here.
Now that I’m done with SPM, I’ll have more time in updating my blog posts. :)

God Bless.

Review on XINH 651 and XINH 703 (Thor: Ragnarok minifigures)

As I’ve said in one of the previous post, I got these the first time I went to watch Justice League. These are the first XINH minifigures I got and I must say I’m very impressed with the quality of them.

I didn't know that XINH minifigs only come in plastic bags and not in boxes. So far, I only know that XINH 152 ~ XINH 158 comes in boxes. Never mind that. Moving on to the reviews…

Firstly, I’ll be comparing my customize version with these two minifigs:

Not bad right?

• XINH 651 and XINH 703

• XINH 651 (front).

• XINH 651 (right).

• XINH 651 (back).

• XINH 651 (left).

• Closer look on the back torso printing. Very good printing!!!

• Closer look on the printed left arm. Very, very good printing!!!

• Closer look on Thor’s face. The hair tone (orange in color) seems a bit brighter than previous Thor minifigs I have.

• Closer look on Thor’s face with the lightning eyes. No problem with the lighting eyes. Hair tone is the same.

• Closer look on the one-sided blue sheath with two katana blades. Good and strong plastic quality!

• XINH 703 (front).

• XINH 703 (right).

• XINH 703 (back).

• XINH 703 (left).

• Closer look on the printed left arm. Same as the other Thor minifig – very, very good printing!!! The back torso printing is also the same.

• Closer look on Thor with the two Power Blast. Very, very, very good plastic and color quality!!!

• Thor vs. Hulk in the Sakaarian Arena as in the movie (same pic as above).

• I customize the Gladiator Thor minifig to make it look more like in the movie.

Notice that in the movie Thor’s half-torn cape is on the LEFT side. Lego made the minifig with the cape on the RIGHT side. Also, following the movie, Thor’s sheath is actually double-sided, unlike Lego’s version of the minifig (which is understandable since the blue Sakaarian-shoulder pad is only on one side). Try searching for other customized version of the Lego ‘Gladia-Thor’ (Hahahahaha) online where they actually customized the minifig exactly like in the movie. Another thing missing is Thor’s ‘baton’ and his shield when he first appears in the Sakaarian Arena. *Hmm…*

• The following pics are previous Thor minifigs (the left one is from The Avengers; the right is from Avengers: Age of Ultron) which I replace the hair pieces with the current Thor’s helmet. Looking forward to also get Sheng Yuan’s version of Thor with helmet from set number SY266, which is actually Thor from the comics.

• I also made a comparison with his look before he got a hair cut from, (SPOILER ALERT!), Stan Lee!!! Hahahahaha!!! The short hair piece is from Star-Lord’s hair piece. Matches right?

• Look! I’m taking ‘pho-Thors’ with my FOUR THORS. Muahahahaha!!!

• Oh yah! My brother found a Spider-web action piece (without the handle piece) on the ground last we went to AmCorp Mall, PJ. Whoever that guy is, I wouldn’t want to be him or else I WOULD CRY!!! MUAHHHHHH!!!

Ok. Overall, I REALLY REALLY SATISFIED for these two excellent minifigs. I’ll end my post with two videos showing Thor’s lighting Power Blast in action.

God Bless.

Review on LELE 79297 Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice ~ Clash of the Heroes

I got this the first time I went to watch Justice League, together with XINH 651 ‘Gladia-thor’ (Hahahahaha) and XINH 703 Thor with Power Blast. It’s one of the set I wanted to get since last year. It’s a small set, but you get everything you need to recreate the Batman vs. Superman scene from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

First things first, the box.

• Box (front). The box is slightly different from the original Lego version in that it is a bit blurry. At least they got Superman’s hair piece right unlike LEPIN. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. I always got a certain prejudice towards LEPIN. From the reviews I’ve seen, they don’t really make good quality bricks, despite making all those CRAZY-ASS big Lego Technic sets. And also, LEPIN’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier isn’t in a really good quality. From the reviews, some of the pieces came broken. I trust that LELE’s version is in waayyyyyy better quality.

• Box (back). Notice that it is labelled “Heroes Gathering” like the front.

• Box (side). Both sides are the same.

• Box (top). A scaled on 1:1 Batman minifig printed just like the original Lego version.

• The set comes in three labelled bags.

• The building instruction booklet (front).

• The building instruction booklet (back).

• The building instruction booklet (first page). If you’ll compare, LEGO®’s building instruction booklet DOES NOT show the Batman’s cape. I may be wrong as I compared it to the digital version downloaded from http://lego.brickinstructions.com/, or rather Lego Instruction Database.

• The extra pieces.

• The complete set.

• The battleground (front).

• The battleground (right).

• The battleground (back).

• The battleground (left).

• The battleground (top).

• The battleground (bottom).

• Closer look on the Kryptonite box.

• Closer look on the printed brick. The print isn’t so clear. The original version uses sticker.

• Closer look on the Bat-signal. Pretty good. No complain. Also, it shoots out perfectly.

• Armored Batman. As you can see, the eyes are in alignment with the holes of the Bat-helmet if you push the head all the way in the mask. Hence, I’ll be reviewing the Armored Batman minifig without the eyes seen. The Kryptonite gun is very good in quality and that it shoots perfectly, unlike previous versions of LELE's stud (is it "stud"; not sure on the name of the piece :P) shooter.

• Armored Batman (front).

• Armored Batman (right).

• Armored Batman (back).

• Armored Batman (left).

• Closer look on Batman’s head with the eyes (face no.1).

• Closer look on Batman’s head with the eyes (face no.2).

• Closer look on Batman’s head without the eyes.

• Closer look on face no.1. The printing is thinner compare to face no.2.

• Closer look on face no.2. Thicker printing. LELE didn’t include the second face, the one with Batman’s mouth open like the original and Decool. Not quite sure about Sheng Yuan’s version.

• Closer look on Batman without the armor and cape (front, with face no.1).

• Closer look on Batman without the armor and cape (back, with face no.2).

• Closer look on Batman without the armor (front).

• Closer look on Batman without the armor (back).

• I really like this Armored Batman minifig design. You can make it carry all sorts of weapons. The look of it feels like Batman is wearing a ‘Bat-War Machine’ armor.

• Closer look on the armor with the Batarang and the hook.

• Closer look on the armor.

• Closer look on the Batarang and the hook.

• Closer look on the cape. If not mistaken, LEGO® and Decool’s version of the cape is gray in color, which suits the armor more like in the movie. Well, at least LELE made the right type of cape - the cape with only one hole (not the usual two hole).

• Did I forget to mention that LELE’s version of the Armored Batman also glows in the dark like LEGO® and Decool’s version?!

I’m not sure whether you can see clearly the second pic. It is Batman’s glow-in-the-dark head without the Bat-helmet.

The third pic shows Batman glowing in the dark with the full armor.

• Superman (front).

• Superman (right).

• Superman (back).

• Superman (alternate face). The eyes aren’t red as it’s supposed to be.

• Superman (back torso).

• This set also comes with a Super Jumper. My experience with LELE’s Super Jumper is that it doesn’t last long, like the one I got in the Hulkbuster Smash set. Oh well…

I’ll end this post with three short clips of Batman vs. Superman, using all the action stunts shown at the box:

God Bless.
