Review on Decool 0280 Bane, 0281 Gladiator Hulk, & 0288 Thanos

I got these on the first week of November, a week before SPM!!! Muahahahaha!!!

I haven’t got a Decool minifigure since Decool 0237 Ra’s Al Ghul, (I haven’t got Decool 0230 Gorilla Grodd and Decool 0231 Mark 38 Igor – I don’t know why :p). I don’t know why ever since the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice series (Decool 0238 ~ 0243), Decool doesn’t include the catalogue for their future minifigures like they used to since Decool 0101 Captain America till Decool 0237 Ra’s Al Ghul. I guess we’ll just have to go online to browse for the future minifigures. I’m frequently visit http://downtheblocks.blogspot.my/, which I find of tremendous help to keep me updated on new ‘bootLegos’ products.

When I got these bigfigures, I’m very glad and impressed that Decool maintained their great brick and printing quality, especially their box design and art for each character. By far, this is the most EXPLOSIVE box art-work done by Decool

• Box (front).

• Box (back).

• Box (right).

• Box (left).

Decool 0280 Bane.
One thing to take note of: the red-eyes aren’t print fully, unlike the original Lego version. Other than that, the bricks are in good condition. Also, there are no extra pieces included.

• Bane (front).

• Bane (right).

• Bane (back).

• Bane (left).

• Closer look on Bane’s “Venom-pack”.

• Closer look on the tube attached to the arms. The tubes are “fresh”, i.e. smooth and coloring is consistent for both tubes.

• Closer look on how to attach the Venom-pack on Bane’s back.

Decool 0281 Gladiator Hulk.

• Gladiator Hulk (front).

• Gladiator Hulk (right).

• Gladiator Hulk (back).

• Gladiator Hulk (left).

• Closer look on the Sakaarian spiky-arm covering (front).

• Closer look on the Sakaarian spiky-arm covering (back). As you can see, the blue ink work is a bit messy, but I’m ok with that.

• Based on the review by downtheblocks, XINH’s version (XINH 654) of the Gladiator Hulk ‘has more eyebrows’ compare to Decool’s, as well as removable gladiator helmet, (the fin on the helmet is also removable and Hulk’s head can be rotated), which you can replace with your Hulk hair piece from previous Sheng Yuan [the only other brand I know which makes bigfigure Hulk with removable hair and rotatable head is JINRUN (JR)] bigfigure Hulks.

• Closer look on the weapons. Decool made both weapons including the battle-axe unlike XINH which only has the big ass-hammer.

• The extra pieces. Look! It comes with an extra left arm without the Sakaarian spiky-arm covering.

• Hulk with the extra arm. It would be much cooler had Decool made the Hulk figure like XINH. However, Decool has always made the bigfigure Hulk like the original Lego without the rotatable head and removable hair piece. Oh well…

Decool 0288 Thanos.

• Thanos (front).

• Thanos (right).

• Thanos (back).

• Thanos (left).

• Closer look on Thanos’ face. As ever, Decool’s printing and coloring on bigfigures are the best. No complain.

• Closer looks on Thanos’ leg-jet pack. Unlike in their set (Decool 7120), the two stud shooters at the rear back of Thanos’ leg-jet pack aren’t included.

To me, Thanos DOES NOT NEED puny ‘leg-jet packs with shooters’ – I mean, IT’S THE FREAKING THANOS!!! I’ve read Thanos Quest, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Infinity Crusade, Marvel: The End and Annihilation. At the very least, Thanos uses a ‘space-time travelling flying space-chair’, and not a ‘leg-jet packs with shooters’, to rule the universe.

Hahahahaha!!!

I’m looking forward to LEGO® releasing their bigfigure Thanos from the upcoming movie Avengers: Infinity War next year.

*Sigh*

There. I’ve finished with another post-SPM blog post. Keep visiting and stay posted.

God Bless.
