Review on War Machine Mark 2 Action Figure

Greetings to all! It's been seven months since my last post. Why did it took me this long since my last update? Honestly, I don't know. I really wish to clear all (around 20+) of my pending posts but I just wasn't up for this "task". Holidays came and went and still I didn't find the time for blogging. I've been quite active on Facebook, though. In fact, I did many short reviews of my recent toy/Lego collections there. At that time I thought I would do the detailed reviews on my blog for the next few months. Hence, after seven months, here I am. ^.^

A lot has happened in the past few months. Most recently I went to work at McDonald's during my semester break. It was a pretty fun and interesting, (at the same time tiring), working experience. They provide free McD food for your break-time. :D But after seven weeks of it, I don't think I would be having any McDonald's for the rest of the year! Currently I'm back in college for Semester 4. The subjects/modules are getting more engineering-specific. That's good. :)

Now, on to the review. I got this War Machine action figure last year (2018) around June. It's the War Machine Mark 2, the same armor as Iron Patriot from the Iron Man 3 movie just in black and which appeared in Avengers Age of Ultron. To be honest, I didn't plan to get this. I saw this action figure among other characters like Thanos which is based on the design from Guardians of the Galaxy. The overall color looks "off" which is why I didn't get it.

At first glance, you could guess the bootleg company got the design from Marvel Legends.

Comparing it to the original Marvel Legends figure.

Oh! Forgot to mention. The color of the eyes were in blue. When I got home, I straight away color it with a red pen. It looks really weird with blue eyes because the light-up feature on the arc reactor is red. Speaking of which, I also colored the arc reactor area because it originally was just plain silver.

Moving on...

The right side.

The back.
The left side.

The "back mounted cannon" is detachable.
The only thing is that it doesn't have the joints/pivots like Marvel Legends.
It's just one plastic mold.

Closer look (front view) on the back mounted cannon.

Closer look (back view) on the back mounted cannon.

The overall look of this figure is pretty movie-accurate, aside form the details I pointed out above.

Comparison with the Hulkbuster action figure I got previously.

There's not much articulation on this figure.

The head rotates left and right; doesn't really moves up or down. The shoulders can be moved front and back. There is up and down articulation on the arms. There are ball joints on the legs, which allow you to pose at certain angles. There are also ankle pivots but they can only be moved up or down.

So that's all, folks! I will (try to) make it a point to upload a post at least once a month. Thank you. God bless! :)

THE DAKE ANNOTATED REFERENCE BIBLE (KJV), Large Note Edition, Genuine Leather

My dad got me a new study Bible last October!

It's THE DAKE ANNOTATED REFERENCE BIBLE, in the King James Version (KJV), large note edition, genuine leather!!!

For those who do not know what is a "DAKE," it is [only] the most informative and comprehensive study Bible ever!

I read DAKE's notes on the Book of REVELATION back when I was 15 years old. It is still my favorite exposition of REVELATION.

The features (sample from the Book of GENESIS):
  • 4 columns to a page — text and notes side by side
  • complete concordance lists every Bible word
  • 500,000 cross/chain references
  • 9,000 headings dividing text
  • 35,000 commentary notes
  • key Hebrew and Greek words defined
  • 8,000 sermon outlines
  • fingertip fact finder
  • summary at end of each book
  • literalizing Scripture
  • genuine leather
  • gold foil edges
  • ribbon marker

Some pictures I took:

It comes in a box. Take note, this is the older printing, which is in KJV. There are newer printing of the DAKE in hardcover, and in the New King James Version (NKJV).

Oh, yeah! I am so using this study Bible for the rest of my life!

Praise be to the God of the Bible, for His Word is always exciting to read, study, preach, and live by!
